The 2,500th anniversary commemoration of the Battle of Plataea will be on July 26-31 next year. That gives just over seven months to prepare, so for anyone who's dawdling about working on their kit (myself included), now's the time to get cracking.

Two days ago, Christian Cameron of Hoplologia and the Amphictyonic League announced a tentative date of June 28 to July 4 to mark the 2,500th anniversary of the Battle of Plataia, one of the largest battles and major turning points of the Greco-Persian Wars. Get your arrows ready and join us!

If you're in the Philly area on May 16, John Trikeriotis will be presenting a lecture, "300 Revisited: Fact and fiction in Hollywood’s depiction of the Battle of Thermopylae" at Drexel. Members of The Hellenic Warriors will be there.
